Abstract
This presentation will go over the key aspects of my thesis project, detailing the creation of a novel framework for rhetorical analysis, dubbed Recuperative Rhetorics. The framework draws from the work of several activist organizations, artistic traditions, and qualitative research methods, amalgamated together in order to provide both pointed and broad insights into rhetorical texts, moves, and movements. The framework is, per the foundations it is built upon, political in nature, with primary insights and concerns regarding the situating of rhetorical works (their interactions and motivations) within spheres of hegemony and power, and how those works have/will evolve within those spheres overtime. It also is meant to be trans-disciplinary in scope and method, able to be used as a tool and lens within and between various academic foci as something that is generative and flexible for any researcher who engages with it.
