Gathered together from various sources, the abstracts of title provide detailed descriptions of the chain of title to specific parcels of land. The bulk of the collection is associated with property in Bexar County and San Antonio, ranging from lots to entire subdivisions. Most abstracts trace title back to the original land grants. Noteworthy properties abstracted include the Alamo, the Veramendi house on Soledad Street in San Antonio, land in the area of San Francisco de la Espada Mission, and the headright grant of Gordon Jennings, an Alamo defender.
