J.B. Weiser, born in Germany, immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 26. Settling into Fredericksburg, TX, Weiser earned a law degree and ran a successful law practice and abstract company. The collection consists of letters, documents, postcards, photographs, books and other items belonging to J.B. Weiser.

Reyes (Humberto V. “Bert”) Collection, 1900-2018

The Humberto V. “Bert” Reyes Collection consists of sales records, financial documents, promotional items, correspondence, images, oral history recordings and transcripts, personal and business writings, news items, property deeds and maps, periodicals, artifacts, artwork, and ephemera, all relating to Bert’s career as a livestock broker, auctioneer, and ranch manager.
Also present are personal and family records such as correspondence, images, artifacts, manuscripts, press material and ephemera; these items document Reyes’s academic, military, and personal activities, as well as those of his parents, siblings, daughter, and professional associates.

Sara R. Massey was an award-winning historian focusing on Texas history. The collection contains research on women in U.S. and Texas history, as well as research from a 2008 project on Vietnamese immigrants in the Texas Gulf Coast.

Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children Collection, 1947-2021

The Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children is in San Antonio, Texas, and has provided educational and auditory testing services to hearing-impaired children for over 75 years. The collection consists of newsletters, images, audio-visual material, scrapbooks, correspondence, and digital records documenting the history of Sunshine Cottage and its various programs for deaf children.

The Texas Navy Association Collection consists of historic newspapers regarding Tejas, the Republic of Texas, and the Texas Navy.
The Texas Navy Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization committed to preserving the history of the three Navies of Texas. Formerly known as the Texas Navy, Inc., the Texas Navy Association was formed by an act of the 63rd Texas Legislature, sponsored by Aaron Robert “Babe” Schwartz, on August 27, 1973.

Thonhoff (Robert H.) Collection

The Robert H. Thonhoff Collection consists of research materials, newspapers, writings, artifacts, printed items, and published works representing the personal and professional activities of the Texas author, historian, teacher, and judge. The Collection also includes the papers of Thonhoff’s colleagues, fellow historians and authors: John Ogden Leal, Eric & Conchita Beerman, Ron Higginbotham, Maurice Ballard, Robin Ellis, Granville W. Hough, and Sr. Jose Ignacio Vasconcelos.
Much of the materials and research within the collection are photocopies.
