Who Can Submit
All Faculty Scholarship publishes the journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, and white papers of the faculty at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. If you have other types of materials you would like to archive in the repository, please contact the repository administrator.
Rights and Permissions
Before submitting a paper to the repository, please be sure that all necessary permissions have been cleared. You retain the copyright to your paper and grant us the nonexclusive right to publish this material, meaning that you may also publish it elsewhere.
If you have already published this paper elsewhere, please make sure to submit the version that can be published in an institutional repository. For many publishers, this will be the Author Accepted Manuscript rather that the final published version. For an explanation of the different versions that may be published, please refer to these guidelines . Permissions for many publishers can be found at SHERPA RoMEO.
How to Submit a Paper
1. Make sure your paper is in an acceptable format: Microsoft Word, Rich Text Format (RTF), or Adobe Acrobat (PDF).
If you use a word-processing program other than Microsoft Word, look for an "export" or "save as" option in your program to save it as an RTF file. If you have questions, please contact the repository administrator.
We can convert files from some programs into an acceptable format. Please contact the repository administrator.
2. If there is no abstract included with your paper, please write one and include it with your submission. Please also select keywords. An abstract and keywords increase the likelihood that your paper will come up higher in search results through Google Scholar and other online search options.
3. Submit the paper by emailing it to Deirdre McDonald, the repository administrator. Include in an email message the following things: abstract; keywords; and name and affiliation (department and university) for each author.
4. By submitting your paper, you agree to the terms of the faculty submission agreement. If you do not agree to the terms, please contact the repository administrator before submitting your paper to discuss your options.
Overview of the Process
After you submit your paper, we will create an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) version of the paper if needed. We will then publish your paper in Digital Commons @ Texas A&M University-San Antonio, along with the metadata and citation information. Once it has been uploaded, you will get an email message with the link to the paper. Please look it over and let the repository administrator know if there are any changes that need to be made.
How to Revise Your Paper
If this paper was not yet published and you publish this paper (or a revised version) elsewhere, please send the citation of the new version to the repository administrator. We will be able to inform repository users about the new version.
