A Humanities Initiative of the Texas A&M University System
The Human Experience is a curricular initiative whose goal is to engage students with humanistic inquiry who are majoring in STEM, Business, or other pre-professional fields. Through intentional pathways in the general education curriculum, this program seeks to inspire deeper thinking about citizenship and ethical decision-making in relation to students’ lives and aspirations.
The program is currently supported with a two-year grant from the Teagle Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities .
This website contains detailed background information about the initiative, including the diverse implementation models developed at each Texas A&M University campus. It is also a repository for faculty resources such as course syllabi, short teaching videos, and examples of outstanding student work.
