Description

The Sultanas de Bejar was formed in San Antonio, Texas, in 1948. It is a women's organization that serves as a social auxiliary to the local chapter of the International Order of the Alhambra, a Catholic fraternal group.

The collection is primarily comprised of oversize commemorative documents created specifically for placement in the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Library, which note the formation of the Sultanas de Bejar, its membership, its activities, and significant anniversaries.
